To ensure that they can use chemicals properly and safely, downstream users require comprehensive physical, chemical and (eco)toxicological data to enable them to monitor safe use of the products. Producers and importers must register this data with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). Windows are assigned for registration depending on the quantities and hazardousness.
Detailed information on REACH can also be found at:
Today, CBR provides only projects that have already been (pre-)registered. All relevant information is contained in the CBR safety datasheets and can also be researched online at ECHA.
Our safety datasheets are prepared on the basis of the currently valid German Hazardous Substances Regulation 2010 and in some cases supplemented using exposure scenarios. Extended transitional periods still apply for mixtures and internal operational use.
Due to the special status of mineral oil products, General Exposure Scenariosapply for hydrocarbon products in order to cover the extremely broad range of possible uses. For registration purposes, some hydrocarbon products (UVCB materials, multi-component mixtures) have been grouped together and registered with a new EC number, so that in these cases the use of the CAS number is not necessary within Europe.
